I love cats, dogs, and delicious food, and I bring them all together in my pottery creations. The word "Nyanko" translates to "kitty" in Japanese, and you'll find adorable kitties incorporated throughout my work.

When I create pottery, I make pieces that I would love to have in my own home. They are designed to be not only visually pleasing but also comfortable to hold and touch, bringing a smile to your face.

My pottery journey began with a desire to make bowls and dishes for serving Japanese food at home. Living with three cats at the time, I also dedicated a lot of my craft to creating cat bowls. These bowls have undergone rigorous testing and received the enthusiastic approval of my feline companions! Nowadays, I work from a cosy studio nestled in my garden, with my ever-watchful companions Columbo the cat and Louie the dog keeping me company as I shape pottery on my wheel.

The first four clay cats I made many years ago were modeled by my own cats. Neil, Chocho, Chaplin are no longer with us. The little one is kitten Columbo, who is now a middle aged cat.

My clay cats were modeled after my own cats, including Neil, Chocho, Chaplin, and Columbo as a kitten. While Neil, Chocho, and Chaplin have passed away, Columbo has grown into a middle-aged cat, serving as a reminder of their playful spirits.
