A kinchaku (巾着) is a traditional Japanese drawstring pouch. These are handmade by Yukari Sweeney using her own hand-printed fabrics, made specifically to fit Nyanko cups. Each pouch is unique, with different prints on each side. Fits espresso, flat white, and yunomi cups.
size approx. 17cm x 15cm
Yukari trained at Eley Kishimoto and Paul Smith before starting her own design studio, and her nature-inspired prints are truly lovely. She once gave me a small pouch made from her fabric as a gift — meant for lipsticks and little sweets, but I started using it to carry my own yunomi cup with me to markets, so I'd have it on hand for my tea. She loved the idea, and together we reshaped it into a pouch made just to fit Nyanko cups. That's how this one came to be.
